Does the border expand the image or cover the edges?
Border width and padding expand the output canvas without rescaling the source raster. A nonzero corner radius clips the outer canvas to a rounded path; on a small image or with little padding, that path can also intersect source-image corners. Inspect the preview before downloading.
Can I add rounded corners?
Yes. The radius control rounds the outer output canvas by up to 100 pixels. The visible result depends on the output dimensions, border, and padding; the maximum setting does not necessarily create a circle or pill.
What format is the output?
The tool exports PNG. It decodes the source, draws a new raster, and re-encodes it, so source metadata, profiles, hidden transparent-pixel data, and file bytes are not preserved even though PNG coding is lossless for the rendered output raster.
