What is EXIF data?

EXIF (Exchangeable image file format) defines metadata fields commonly stored with photos, such as camera model, capture time, exposure settings, orientation, and sometimes GPS coordinates. A file may contain only some fields, inaccurate values, or metadata in other containers.

Which file formats can this EXIF viewer inspect?

This tool currently accepts JPEG input and displays the fields its browser-side parser can read. Other formats can carry EXIF or different metadata, including standardized PNG eXIf data and metadata in RAW containers, but this viewer does not claim to inspect every format, tag, image, or embedded item.

Is my GPS location uploaded?

The selected JPEG and the metadata parsed from it are processed in your browser and are not sent to Vizua’s image-processing server. The page can still make ordinary network requests for required code, analytics, advertising, error monitoring, and other site features described in the privacy policy.
